Orbit

Privacy Policy

Orbit is a safe AI learning experience for kids with parent oversight. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how parents can contact us about privacy choices.

Last updated: October 6, 2026

Information We Collect

  • Account information such as parent name, email address, sign-in method, and account settings.
  • Child profile details provided by a parent or guardian, such as username, age range, grade, interests, and learning preferences.
  • Conversation content, prompts, generated responses, images, learning activity, safety flags, and parent-child account links.
  • Technical information such as device type, app version, log data, diagnostics, push notification identifiers, and approximate usage activity.

How We Use Information

  • To provide safe AI chat, learning tools, learning practice, creative features, and parent dashboard controls.
  • To personalize age-appropriate responses, improve safety filters, detect flagged conversations, and support account recovery.
  • To send account, safety, support, and notification messages requested by parents or required to operate the service.
  • To maintain security, prevent abuse, debug issues, analyze reliability, and improve Orbit.

How We Share Information

  • We do not sell personal information and we do not use children’s data for third-party advertising.
  • We share limited information with service providers that help us operate Orbit, including hosting, authentication, analytics, communications, notifications, and AI infrastructure.
  • We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users, or with parent or guardian consent.

Parents And Children

  • Orbit is designed for children with parent supervision. Parents can review child activity, manage linked child accounts, adjust settings, and request deletion.
  • Parents may contact us to access, correct, or export account and child data, and can delete their own or their child’s account from Settings (see Deleting Your Account below).
  • We aim to follow child privacy requirements including COPPA where applicable.

Deleting Your Account

  • You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the Orbit app or on the web. A child whose account is linked to a parent asks that parent, who can delete it from their own Settings.
  • Deletion takes effect 30 days after you ask. Until then the account is signed out everywhere, and signing back in cancels the deletion. Once the 30 days have passed the account can no longer be signed into, and it is permanently deleted along with its profile, conversations, pictures, stories, and share links.
  • When a parent deletes their account, a linked child with no other linked parent is deleted with it; a child with another linked parent is unlinked and keeps their account. When a parent deletes a child’s account, the child cannot sign in during the 30 days, and the parent can cancel it from Settings until then.
  • A copy of a shared conversation that someone else saved into their own account stays with them.
  • Deleting an account cancels a subscription bought on our website. A subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play is billed by Apple or Google and must be cancelled there.
  • When an account is deleted we also ask our service providers to delete the copies they hold. Our AI providers may keep request logs for a limited period set by each provider (up to 55 days) for safety and abuse monitoring, and our database backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.

Data Security And Retention

  • We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls.
  • We keep information while an account is active or as needed to provide Orbit, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain backups. A deleted account’s information is removed 30 days after deletion is requested, as described above.
